hhrrrrr. actually I wanted to practice perspective, but I don't know why I ended up adding so many randomness. (whales, rainbow, etc)
and lately there are so many Grab My memes on dA, that's why I put that rainbow =w=
(which makes it so weird, I know)

This is just an awesome piece. It is so whimsical and gives off an air of Wonderment. Is it Atlantis? Are we beneath the waves or in the clouds?

The use of Colour, light and shadow, along with a strange change in perspective all draw your eyes and your senses into the picture.

The way in which the artist depicts the clouds, or, are they waves? This is what really makes this piece original and "fresh"

My only negative thought on this piece is the Rainbow flowing from the Floating Palace. It reminds me too much of the Nyan Cat videos on Youtube

This in itself is a truly lovely piece, and I take my hat off to you, but something that bothers me a bit is the perspective between the floating castle and the one below it. The floating castle has depth and is beautifully 3D at a slant, but the castle at the bottom of the picture throws you for a loop by going back to 2D. The picture itself would have been stunning even without it, giving you the feeling of being completely in the air, rather than on the ground with the other castle. By the way, LOVE the whales and rainbow, and the whispy clouds add a great mysterious effect like you're also underwater.

Honestly, in this instance, in my opinion, the rainbow really works for this. If it wasn't for that,, the flow of this whole thing would be lost, at least to me. What would make it better, to me, is getting rid of that "randomness" that you mentioned before, change the perspective of the castle to a descending way like it's crashing down. I hope that works.
